Job Title: Teacher 2,3,4

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teacher 2,3,4 to join our team at the New York State Education Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing a course(s) recognized by the New York State Education Department, preparing or modifying curriculum and course outlines, and conducting a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facility.

Responsibilities:

* Instruct a course(s) recognized by the New York State Education Department
* Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines
* Prepare daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an OCFS facility

Requirements:

* Current New York State Education Department initial certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty (Teacher 2)
* Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty (Teacher 3)
* Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in that same specialty (Teacher 4)

Additional Information:

This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
