Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain dental equipment, instruments, and supplies to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Collect and record patient health histories, take impressions, and x-rays to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Ensure patient comfort and well-being during dental procedures, providing emotional support and reassurance as needed.
- Prepare dental materials, including cements, amalgam, composite, and impression materials, to facilitate smooth and efficient procedures.
- Chart treatment information in patients' dental notes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assist the dentist in managing medical and dental emergencies, providing prompt and effective care.
- Clean and polish removable devices, fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, and study models to support patient care.
- Deliver postoperative and general oral care instructions to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and care requirements.
- Maintain infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff, upholding the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program or dental assistant experience.
- Previous customer service or office experience.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Foster a positive attitude and be a team player.
Monday through Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Occasional Fridays: 8:00am - 12:00pm as needed
