About the Role
Friendship Community Care is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Ride Escort. In this role, you will ensure the safe transportation of children on school buses.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist children when entering or exiting the bus
Help transport children to and from their classrooms
Maintain order on the bus and ensure all children remain seated with their seatbelt fastened
Act as a 'spotter' when the driver backs up the bus
Sit in the middle or back of the bus to monitor the children at all times

Additional Tasks:
Walk the aisle at designated stops to ensure the safety and security of all children
Check the bus at the end of morning and afternoon routes to ensure no child remains on board
Submit daily documentation, including Transportation Roster and health checks
Assist the bus driver in maintaining a bus binder with required documentation

Requirements:
High School diploma or GED preferred
One to three months of related experience or training
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

Working Conditions:
The work environment is typically moderate noise level
This is a safety-sensitive function that requires passing background checks and maintaining a clean driving record
