Cath Lab Technologist Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join their team for a travel assignment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to provide exceptional patient care and support in a catheterization laboratory setting. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating medical equipment, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Operate medical equipment, such as fluoroscopy machines and ultrasound devices, to assist with procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians and nurses, to ensure effective patient care and communication.
  • Monitor patients' responses to interventions and report outcomes to healthcare teams.
  • Administer medications as ordered and document patient information accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by healthcare teams, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One to three years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Certifications may be required for this position.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and use PC skills.
  • Physical abilities to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment, push, pull, and bend.
