Electrical Engineering Specialist

At L3Harris, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and production of our military communication products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mitigate component shortages through alternative qualification or circuit redesign.
  • Determine design, process, and test improvements to increase test yields and product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet manufacturability, testability, and other DFx requirements for volume production.
  • Work with design engineering and manufacturing teams to introduce new designs into manufacturing.
  • Lead design engineering teams to make necessary design changes prior to and during the launch of a new product.
  • Mitigate component obsolescence throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work with vendors, Quality, and Supply Chain to address material discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot unit, module, and board issues to the component level.
Requirements:
  • Hardware troubleshooting ability, including analog and RF components and circuits.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Ability to design and conduct engineering experiments and act upon test results.
  • Design and analysis of circuits and components utilizing ADS, Matlab, and various design and simulation tools.
  • Experience leading small technical design or troubleshoot teams, providing direction and prioritizing tasks to meet target yields and shipments.
  • Ability to generate and deliver presentations for various levels of management regarding issues, investigations, improvements, or cost savings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment interfacing with multiple teams across the organization.
  • Ability to use typical lab equipment: Oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum & Network analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Must be a quick learner, able to problem solve, and be self-motivated.
  • Able to analyze designs and communicate technical information to support staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

L3Harris offers a competitive salary range of $74,000 - $138,000 in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Washington State, and New York State. We also offer a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
