Project Manager Job Description

MAU Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee all aspects of project planning, scheduling, team management, and budget control for our client in Orlando, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, work schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Lead and supervise roofing teams to meet project milestones, assign tasks clearly, and resolve any issues that arise during the project.
  • Create and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources, monitoring expenses, and controlling costs to keep the project within financial limits.
  • Act as the primary client contact, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns promptly, maintaining positive client relationships, and conducting final walkthroughs to ensure satisfaction and project completion.
  • Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and complies with industry regulations, implementing and enforcing safety protocols on job sites, and conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Keep detailed records of project progress, changes, and any issues encountered, and regularly report project status, timelines, and costs to upper management.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; college education preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in the roofing industry.
  • 30-Hour OSHA Construction certification, First Aid/CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogen training.
  • Knowledgeable in administrative procedures, including word processing, file management, and office terminology.
  • Skilled in business and management principles, such as strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership.
  • Experienced in customer service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation.
  • Familiar with personnel management processes, including recruitment, training, and labor relations.
  • Proficient in economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and data analysis.
  • Capable in arithmetic, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software.
  • Adept at using logic to evaluate solutions, assess performance, and make decisions.
  • Experienced in monitoring performance, identifying problems, and implementing solutions.
  • Skilled in motivating teams, managing resources, and understanding system functions and impacts.

Work Environment:

  • Involves working in varying lighting conditions, including extremely bright or inadequate lighting, and in temperatures above 90°F or below 32°F, with potential exposure to distracting or uncomfortable noise levels.
  • Includes handling contaminants, hazardous materials, or equipment.
  • Mistakes can have serious consequences, so strict adherence to safety procedures is essential.
  • May involve exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings.
  • Requires working at heights or in potentially hazardous conditions.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged standing.
  • Involves using ladders, scaffolds, and stairways.
  • Requires climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
  • Necessitates using abdominal and lower back muscles to support the body consistently without fatigue.
  • Requires close-range visual acuity.
  • Involves repetitive movements, including bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items up to 50 pounds.
