Resident Instructor

Community Residences is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to identify client needs and develop personalized care plans that promote independence and well-being.
- Provide Direct Care and Support: Assist clients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and facilitate participation in community-based outings.
- Administer Medication and Monitor Health: Administer medication as prescribed, monitor clients' medical and behavioral changes, and report any concerns to our RN, Program Manager, or Program Coordinator.
- Assist with Household Management: Participate in meal planning, preparation, and cleanup, as well as maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities.
- Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues, ensuring open and respectful communication.
- Participate in Training and Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of human services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in human services
- A valid CT driver's license and a good driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, encouraging, and nurturing temperament
