We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Hughston Medical Physicians. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality medical services to patients under the supervision of a Physician.
Responsibilities- Obtain a detailed patient history and record appropriate findings in the patient records.
- Complete a systematic and thorough physician examination.
- Make a diagnosis concerning a patient's injury or illness.
- Give treatment such as setting broken bones.
- Prescribe medicine when needed.
- Perform salutary procedures by administering injections and managing wounds and infections.
- Order, perform, interpret and schedule, when appropriate, diagnostic studies.
- Provide counseling on health habits, exercise, tobacco, and alcohol.
- Provide instruction on supervising physicians orders.
- Assist supervising Physician in management of hospitalized patients.
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited PA or NP program required.
- NCCPA Board certification required.
- Must maintain BLS certification.
- Current State license required.
- DEA required.
- Must have valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
This position requires travel and irregular working hours.
