Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to become a part of our innovative team at Hummingbirds Innovations. In this role, you will collaborate with clients and the development team to gather and articulate requirements. You will analyze customer needs to identify the most suitable software technologies to meet their objectives. Your potential is boundless, and so is ours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of software architecture, requirements analysis, process execution, and evaluation, including the selection and assessment of COTS/GOTS tools, as well as integration with both new and legacy systems.
  • Design, create, test, and maintain software applications to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Adhere to a formal design methodology using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other recognized design techniques, while complying with laws, standards, and established guidelines for software application development and delivery (e.g., reusability, modifiability, efficiency, reliability, comprehensibility, fault tolerance).
  • Coordinate the creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a cohesive site design.
  • Develop and design visually appealing, content-rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation.
  • Maintain comprehensive software development technical documentation to facilitate software application maintenance and upgrades.
  • Manage software processes and configuration management throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and respond to suggestions for enhancements and improvements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Java 8+ and Java 11 for ATO purposes.
  • Experience with Angular JS.
  • Familiarity with Tomcat 9.
  • Knowledge of MySQL 8 (including SQL queries).
  • Experience with Hibernate.
  • Proficient in Maven.
  • Familiarity with Eclipse.
  • Experience with Elastic Search.
  • Proficient in Linux commands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Confluence.
  • Familiarity with Jira.
  • Knowledge of Angular.
  • Experience with Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with Jasmine (test framework).
  • Knowledge of Apache Tika.
  • Experience with LDAP.
