Compensation: $45.00 to $60.00 per hour.

Position Summary:
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance and operation of plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, repairs, and servicing of equipment in the plant, shop, and field.
- Execute journey-level maintenance operations on systems.
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble materials using various machinery including milling and drilling tools.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, lubrication, and minor adjustments on equipment.
- Ensure equipment compliance with safety regulations and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Investigate equipment malfunctions and participate in remedial actions to prevent recurrence.
- Adhere to safety policies and promote awareness of potential hazards in the workplace.
- Maintain parts inventory and assist in training new personnel as needed.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily conducted in a shop or field environment.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, is expected.
- Travel may be required for training purposes.
- Potential Hazards: Exposure to fumes, dust, chemicals, noise, and moving machinery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with proficiency in English.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to accurately record data from various equipment.
- Proficient in operating construction-type equipment and hand tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems is preferred.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to take on new responsibilities.
- Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential.
- Availability for after-hours emergency callouts.
Certifications:
- Completion of employee orientation and safety training.
- HAZWOPER Level I and II First Responder Certification is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing (75%) and walking (25%) are primary activities.
- Close visual and auditory observation is necessary for detecting equipment issues.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for various tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (occasionally 60 pounds).
- May require stooping, bending, or working in confined spaces.
