Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce all company safety and health policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of production staff to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production staff and managers to solve work-related problems and improve processes.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality and production standards.
  • Inventory raw materials, work-in-progress, and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.
  • Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance management forms.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) plus years' experience in direct labor supervision or B.S. in Management/Engineering
  • Directly manage hourly staff on assigned shift
  • Indirectly influence material handlers, inventory counters, and raw materials team members
