Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluation, care, and treatment to adult and geriatric patients in both acute care and outpatient settings. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, care, and treatment to patients
  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and case management within prescribed guidelines and instructions of attending physicians
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and behavioral health needs
  • Ensure documentation is complete and timely for resident management/continuity of care and billing purposes
  • Communicate with interdisciplinary team and Director of Nursing as well as medical staff to ensure continuity of care delivery
  • Monitor quality indicators, identify areas of opportunity, and seek solutions to enhance care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice
  • Current accreditation from a national certification organization with psychiatric board certification
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Current State Driver's license
  • Current Auto liability Insurance according to Company Policy
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Geriatric nursing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience as a registered nurse and 3 years as a Psychiatric APRN
