Job Description
This individual will join VBS's Synthetic Biology Hub and contribute to internal metabolic engineering efforts. The role will involve developing strains and molecular biology tools, supporting automation efforts, and driving program milestones. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Synthetic Biology or related field with 3+ years of industry experience, and a proven track record of achievement in metabolic engineering techniques.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a scientific lead to drive internal metabolic engineering projects and achieve program milestones. Work closely with bioinformatician to support laboratory automation efforts to improve efficiency, lead time, throughput, and accuracy of the SBH's processes. Coordinate and conduct all work in strict compliance with applicable safety requirements, containment requirements, standard operating practices, and/or guidelines.
