Responsibilities
  • Client Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear and concise information about their pets' health and treatment options.
  • Animal Handling and Restraint: Safely and humanely handle and restrain animals for examination, treatment, and procedures.
  • Medical Support: Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement, and medication administration.
  • Lab Testing and Radiography: Perform laboratory tests and radiographic procedures as needed to support diagnosis and treatment.
  • Surgical Assistance: Provide support to veterinarians during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting, with a strong background in animal handling and restraint.
  • Licensure: Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license required.
