Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Dementia Unit

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Northern Light Health. As an LPN on our Dementia Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with dementia and their families.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care to individuals with dementia, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing basic care and treatments. The LPN will also work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Provide basic care and treatments, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as toileting and ambulation
  • Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement individualized care plans
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Maine
  • BLS certification
  • Graduate from an accredited LPN program or state-determined eligibility
  • 0 years' experience
Working Conditions:

The LPN will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient acuity. The LPN will be required to lift, move, and load 30 to 50 pounds, and will work alternate shift schedules, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
