Key Responsibilities:

As a Roofing Technician, your main duties will include:

  • Applying roofing materials such as TPO, EPDM, and PVC to various surfaces.
  • Utilizing spray techniques for roofs, sidings, and walls to enhance insulation and soundproofing.
  • Cleaning and preparing work areas by removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Installing, repairing, or replacing single-ply roofing systems using waterproof materials.
  • Cutting and fitting roofing materials to ensure a secure and effective installation.
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant roofing experience.
  • Certifications: None required.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of safety practices and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to organize and execute work assignments efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools.
  • Effective communication skills for teamwork and collaboration.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
  • Capability to climb ladders and scaffolds safely.
  • Strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and potential hazards.
  • Ability to work in bright or dim lighting conditions.
