Operations Manager Job Description

At Dayton Freight, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing methods and procedures for the efficient and economical routing and movement of customers' freight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the T.E.A.M. System to maximize resource capabilities.
  • Prepare and compile daily, weekly, and monthly production and service records.
  • Observe and inspect service center personnel to determine changes in work practices and procedures.
  • Maintain superior internal and external customer relations.
  • Assist in the training and development of supervisory and production personnel.
  • Inspect service center facilities for conformance to prescribed standards of safety and cleanliness.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the LTL/Transportation Industry.
  • Experience managing drivers and dockworkers.
  • Knowledge of the surrounding geographical area to the Service Center.
