Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with varying developmental and learning challenges and will be able to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments to determine students' needs, strengths, and areas needing improvement. Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment plans based on findings.
  • Therapy and Intervention: Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing exercises, adaptive methods, and skill-building activities. Customize interventions to boost academic success, motor skills, sensory processing, and daily life skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop strategies supporting students' educational and developmental objectives. Attend IEP meetings and contribute to program adaptations and accommodations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and treatment plans. Prepare reports and documentation for IEPs, progress reviews, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current Occupational Therapist license in Ohio.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or working with children with diverse needs is preferred. Familiarity with IEP development and implementation is an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of occupational therapy methods and best practices. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Skilled in teamwork and adapting to meet student needs.
