Job Title: Bus Driver - Wickenburg Unified School DistrictJob Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Bus Driver to join our team at Wickenburg Unified School District. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as operating vehicles in accordance with Arizona Highway Traffic Division and Wickenburg U.S.D. regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate vehicles in accordance with Arizona Highway Traffic Division and Wickenburg U.S.D. regulations
  • Drive routes as required
  • Perform route schedule in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain discipline when students are on bus
  • Clean and service bus daily
  • Post accurate schedule in bus
  • Perform safety check of flares, first aid equipment, fire extinguishers, lights, brakes, tools, and tires as directed by supervisor
  • Notify proper authority of mechanical and safety device failures
  • Pick up and discharge students only at authorized stops
  • Transport only authorized students and authorized personnel
  • Conduct bus safety and evacuation drills
  • Report all accidents to proper authority and complete related reports
  • Comply with all rules, regulations, and policies of the Governing Board
Requirements:
  • Appropriate Commercial Driver's License and State Bus Driver's Certificate preferred
  • Must be able to acquire/maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements
  • Must maintain a current CPR and First Aid Card
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance and background check or maintain a current Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Acceptable driving record for the last three (3) years
  • Bus or heavy automotive equipment driving experience preferred
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1968
