Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Quality and Safety Officer to join our team at VCU Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the quality and safety of patient care across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce medical errors
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and clinical staff to identify and address quality and safety concerns
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality and safety metrics and reporting
  • Provide education and training to staff on quality and safety best practices
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address quality and safety issues
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in quality and safety leadership in a healthcare setting
  • Proven track record of improving quality and safety outcomes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and clinical staff
  • Knowledge of quality and safety regulations and standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in quality and safety
  • Experience with quality and safety data analytics and reporting
  • Knowledge of high reliability organizations and quality improvement methodologies
