Job Overview

Industrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for welding and assembling metal components for various industrial projects.

Responsibilities
  • Select and prepare materials and equipment according to specifications.
  • Plan and execute welding operations, applying knowledge of geometry, metal properties, and welding techniques.
  • Operate various welding processes, including Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, and Shielded Metal Arc.
  • Lay out, position, and fit components together, using bolting, clamping, and welding techniques.
  • Perform quality control checks on welds, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Knowledge of welding processes, materials, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials, and work in a variety of positions.
Working Conditions

The Journeyman Welder will work in a well-ventilated fabrication shop, with exposure to noise, heat, and physical demands. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting, with occasional use of personal protective equipment.
