Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. You will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and provide excellent customer service to our patients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and process prescriptions.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills and good computer skills.
