Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care services that necessitate technical and manual skills, adhering to the scope of practice. This role addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care while fulfilling the communication needs of patients and their families. The LPN operates under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
This position is situated in a clinical environment with a flexible schedule and a need for PRN support.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Training:
- Possession of a current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- Previous experience in wound care or ostomy care is preferred.
