Position Summary
Our rapidly expanding production firm is in search of a Logistics and Warehouse Operations Manager. This role offers the successful candidate the chance to leverage their expertise, acquire new skills, and collaborate as part of a dynamic team in a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in the manufacturing sector, focusing on warehouse management, logistics, and leadership, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to workplace safety. Furthermore, the candidate should be driven to develop a long-term career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage outbound logistics, including both on-site and off-site warehouse inventory, as well as the transportation of finished products.
- Build and maintain relationships, and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers for logistics providers and the inbound supply of raw materials.
- Work closely with customer service and sales teams to evaluate strategic logistics opportunities.
- Plan and allocate resources for warehouse picking and shipping processes to ensure timely fulfillment of daily shipments according to customer specifications.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure warehouse operations align with other functions such as production and purchasing.
- Support operational processes, including inspection, receiving, storage, material usage, order picking, and both inbound and outbound shipments, as well as handling and disposition of materials.
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, variance investigations, and regular physical inventories.
- Manage departmental KPIs, including visual controls, and communicate status updates to management.
- Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and execute lean initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in processes.
- Ensure employee compliance with company policies and production procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
- Prior supervisory experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or similar environment.
- Experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is desired; experience with MS Dynamics is preferred, and knowledge of Aptean is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.

- Forklift certification or Forklift Trainer certification is preferred.
- CDL certification is a plus.
