Care Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a primary care specialist, you will provide high-quality medical care to individuals and families in all aspects of life, with a focus on infectious disease management and HIV specialty care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary health care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations.
- Prescribe treatment for illnesses within the scope of practice.
- Teach and counsel individuals and families to promote health and prevent illness.
- Provide HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to individuals at risk and primary care and HIV specialty care for patients living with HIV infection/AIDS.
- Perform specialized assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for STI screening and treatment.
- Provide education on communicable diseases to high-risk individuals and discuss HIV/HCV/STI prevention and treatment information with all patients.
- Graduate of a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in primary care with an emphasis on STI and HIV.
- Ohio License (NP/PA) and DEA required.
- Experience treating patients living with Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, and HIV/AIDS.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with homeless, LGBT, multicultural, and diverse populations.
