Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to our properties, participating in new projects, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to all HDC owned and affiliate properties, including general lighting, preventative maintenance, repair and replacement, complaint resolution, and maintaining adequate inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
- Participate in new projects or building rehabilitation, such as retail, office, and common and public space modifications.
- Participate in training offered by or through coworkers and perform duties as assigned.
- 1 year of experience in building maintenance field.
- Ability to work independently and effectively, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with basic computer skills and ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to move and work throughout the property for the duration of shift, with ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling.
- Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbs, and climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet for extended periods of time.
- Competitive wage range of $15.00 to $16.00 based on experience.
