About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Educator to join our team at Good Samaritan. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a vital role in providing education and resources to healthcare professionals, promoting patient care and education, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to develop care plans.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assess patient needs for self-care instructions in diabetes, wound care, ostomy care, bowel and bladder training
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop care plans for patients requiring education and/or intervention in diabetes, wound, ostomy, bowel and bladder care
  • Provide education and resources to patients, significant others, and healthcare professionals to promote health and wellness
  • Utilize age-specific criteria to prescribe appropriate actions to meet patient needs
  • Document patient care and education in electronic medical records
  • Maintain communication with intra and interdepartmental teams to ensure continuity of care and patient education
  • Coordinate and manage department Performance Improvement initiatives


Requirements:


  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Indiana
  • Three years of nursing practice and teaching experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Nursing
  • Wound Care certification highly preferred
  • Computer skills including Microsoft, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
