Key Responsibilities:- Pre-Operative Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition to the operating room.
- Operating Room: Provide direct patient care, administer medications, and monitor vital signs during surgical procedures.
- Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU): Care for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitor their condition, and provide emotional support to ensure a comfortable and safe recovery.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with the surgical team, including anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- License: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
