Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Waste Connections in Albuquerque, NM. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on our fleet of trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services on diesel engines and related systems.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software to document repairs, parts usage, and repair times.
  • Review and complete or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair, or completion of an accredited vocational technical school program.
  • CDL Class B with Air Brakes State MVR.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs and possess own hand tools.
  • Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
  • Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.
