The Role
As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a critical role in the financial health of our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting monthly reconciliations of cash and cash-equivalent accounts, as well as accounts receivable and payable.
2. Performing quarterly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
3. Preparing documentation for monthly closings, invoicing, and compliance with grant requirements.
4. Analyzing operational records, trends, costs, and revenues to forecast future financial performance.
5. Compiling and submitting reports on expected revenues and expenditures to management.
6. Developing financial concepts for effective planning and control.
7. Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, along with statistical reports and business forecasts.
8. Advising management on resource utilization and budgetary assumptions.
9. Overseeing the FP&A process for the current fiscal year and preparing budgets for the upcoming year.
Qualifications
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
1. Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
2. Visual acuity for close, distance, and color vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
3. Capacity to sit for extended periods.
4. Work environment typically has moderate noise levels.
Experience:
1. Minimum of three years in an analytical role with a proven track record of initiative and precision.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with large datasets and functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
3. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
4. Ability to interpret financial documents and respond to inquiries effectively.
5. Capable of presenting information clearly to various audiences.
