Position OverviewThe Physician will be responsible for delivering the following Clinical Services:
- Monitor and care for patients.
- Prescribe or administer medications, therapies, and specialized medical treatments to prevent or manage illnesses, diseases, or injuries.
- Analyze medical records, reports, and test results to diagnose patients' health conditions.
- Engage with patients to collect comprehensive medical histories and additional information.
- Clarify procedures and discuss test outcomes or recommended treatments with patients.
- Administer specific treatments and/or perform surgical operations to address patients' medical issues.
- Evaluate patients and document relevant notes regarding their conditions for treatment records and potential referrals.
- Collaborate with other medical and non-medical personnel to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Conduct surgical procedures as appropriate, within the Physician's qualifications and scope of practice.
- Complete necessary documentation of patient care services in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as the System's policies regarding medical records.
- Ensure accurate documentation to support professional billing for clinical services in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, particularly regarding the confidentiality of patients' protected health information.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
- Plan, implement, or manage health programs in various settings for the prevention and treatment of injuries or illnesses.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives as directed, including Continuing Medical Education lectures, health fairs, and other community-focused activities.
- Perform additional reasonable clinical duties as required.
