Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety checks of patients at various intervals to ensure their well-being and safety.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to identify patient needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including patient records and program operations.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups for patients on the Health Service Unit.
  • Disseminate daily meals, canteen, and mail to patients.
  • Prepare space for new patients and assist with their transition.
  • Control movement in and out of the Health Service Unit and observe patients on video camera.
  • Ensure the unit is clean and secure, performing daily housekeeping and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Assist the Medical Records Coordinator with filing documents in patient records.
Working Conditions:

Working in a correctional facility, applicants will be subject to working weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime as needed. They may be required to work on any shift and interact with people who are under physical and emotional stress.

Qualifications:
  • Applicants must have at least two years of experience in providing direct care services to the mentally ill, emotionally or physically handicapped.
  • Strong oral, written, organizational, and time management skills are required, as well as the ability to maintain comprehensive and cohesive records.
Salary and Benefits:

The base salary for this position is $58,909.86, plus additional compensation and benefits offered within the collective bargaining agreement.
