Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2nd Assistant Superintendent to join our team at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. As a key member of our golf course maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the course is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent in overseeing the maintenance and construction of the golf course.
  • Supervise and assist maintenance staff in daily duties, including spraying chemicals and maintaining equipment.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
  • Ensure all grounds and course maintenance equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
  • Supervise the planting, fertilizing, and care of turf, plants, shrubs, trees, and other facilities on the golf course.
  • Record all maintenance activities on the course.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget for the department and take corrective action as necessary to ensure budget goals are met.
  • Maintain the course in proper playing condition.
  • Ensure all associates obtain the necessary licenses and certifications to perform their job tasks safely and in compliance with city, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate with other departments to discuss course conditions, maintenance plans, and scheduled events.
  • Assist with snow removal and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Preference for degree in agronomy, horticulture, plant science, or soil science.
  • Current spray license is a plus, but we will support certification for the right candidate.
