Cybersecurity Engineer Role

At Bluestaq LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our systems and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and information.
  • Identify, define, and implement system security requirements and standards.
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Conduct vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
  • Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
  • Analyze security systems logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.
  • Update and upgrade security systems as needed.
  • Provide technical advice and support on security issues to other team members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.

Requirements:
  • CISSP certification.
  • Profound knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and standards such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
  • Proficient in operating systems including Linux and Windows.
  • Strong understanding of network technologies and security configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, compliance standards, and AWS environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to articulate complex security issues.
  • IAT Level II/III certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications like CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and CompTIA Security+.
  • Scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Cloud identity and access management tools.

Clearance Requirement:
This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.

Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
