Key Responsibilities:

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Typical shifts will last for 8.5, 10.5, or 11 hours, with meal breaks provided accordingly.

Specific Duties:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute a comprehensive range of duties as a Licensed Sports Medicine Specialist, adhering to guidelines established by recognized professional organizations.
  • Identify, prevent, and rehabilitate injuries effectively.
  • Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for musculoskeletal injuries, utilizing various therapeutic techniques.
  • Address soft tissue injuries, edema, and pain management through established protocols.
  • Offer emergency first aid and initial assessments for injuries, including determining severity and providing immediate care.
  • Design and create protective equipment and braces, employing proper techniques for injury prevention and treatment.
  • Maintain personal fitness to engage in various physical training activities, enabling a better understanding of potential injury factors.


Qualifications:

Minimum

Required Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant experience within the last three years as a Licensed Sports Medicine Specialist, including at least one year working with collegiate or professional athletes, or military personnel.
  • Certification: Current certification in Athletic Training through the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC).
  • Life Support Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory; additional certifications may be required based on specific service areas.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass a government background check and obtain necessary security clearance.

Compensation:
$32.00/hr - $42.00/hr, determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
