About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team in South Bend, IN. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all project specifications, contract conditions, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, monitor progress, and communicate with project managers and owners.
  • Coordinate and track job-site materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Manage labor costs, monitor project expenditures, and implement corrective actions to meet construction budgets.
  • Train employees on work standards, safety protocols, and job site rules.
  • Lead inspections of day-to-day construction work to enforce conformity to specifications.
  • Responsible for quality control of the site/project.
  • Act as an adviser on job-related problems.
  • Manage employee performance and discipline as needed.
  • Ensure a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness.
  • Finalize project closeout process, demobilize resources, and transition project to the owner.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Construction Management or similar field, or a Journeyman status in a building trade, or a combination of high school diploma with relevant experience and related certifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry on complex projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Experience with self-perform.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and specifications for institutional, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Solid understanding of project cost analysis.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and other software used in the construction industry.
