Job Summary and Qualifications

The Program Coordinator plays a vital role in the multidisciplinary team, serving as an advocate and educator for maternal patients. This position requires building relationships with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure informational and educational needs are met for treatment plans.

The Program Coordinator achieves this goal by providing education, representation, and support within the multidisciplinary care environment. This role assumes responsibility for managing resources to achieve efficient, high-quality outcomes for patients, including support with interdisciplinary and cross-facility coverage and collaboration.

The Program Coordinator will serve as a liaison between patients and families, physicians, internal and external healthcare providers, support network members, and the wider healthcare community. This role requires collaboration with local physician liaisons and leadership to provide formal/informal staff education and evaluate teaching effectiveness through feedback from staff and multidisciplinary team members.

What Qualifications You Will Need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum five years recent professional experience in Labor and Delivery
