Manufacturing Operations Supervisor - M1

About the Role

The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of production personnel, ensuring that production goals, quality standards, and cost objectives are achieved.

This role emphasizes employee efficiency, product quality, workplace safety, and staff training, typically managing a team of production workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Direction: Provide clear guidance to the extended team by communicating overall priorities to Team Leads based on:
    • Shipping schedules (daily/weekly/monthly)
    • Unit quantities
    • Backlogged units
    • Production capacity
  • Personnel Management:
    • Oversee attendance, overtime, and paid time off
    • Implement training programs
    • Manage staffing levels
    • Balance workloads
    • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Issue Resolution:
    Address and escalate any issues affecting the extended team, ensuring communication with:
    • Peer supervisors
    • Management
    • Customer Project Managers
    • New Product Introduction Project Managers
  • Process Improvement:
    Collaborate with the extended team to identify and implement process enhancements and tool improvements in partnership with:
    • Management
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Development Engineering
    • Maintenance Teams

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information and training line operators
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable environment and quickly learn new tools and concepts
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to distill complex issues and communicate effectively to all employee levels
  • Skilled in consolidating information from various sources into actionable plans
