Job Title: ICU Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Nurse to join our team at RN-Staff in Alaska.

Job Summary:

The ICU Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and monitor patients' progress, identifying any sudden or subtle changes in their medical condition.
  • Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members, ensuring seamless communication and care.
  • Begin treatment and monitor doses, taking into account patients' specific needs and medical histories.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and alert the appropriate doctors, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Care for patients' needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit, providing emotional support and comfort.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork before transferring patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain patient records, creating and implementing effective care plans that meet individual needs.
Requirements:
  • AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certificate
  • Graduate of accredited Nursing program
  • 2 year Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line
  • Registered Nurse State of Alaska
