Facility Medical Director - Anesthesiology

HCA Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to serve as the Facility Medical Director at one of our esteemed hospitals. This leadership role is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact on patient care and hospital operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Operations team, Hospital Administration, and APP leadership to drive the Group's mission forward.
  • Ensure the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes, employee satisfaction, and retention.
  • Monitor efficiencies and quality metrics, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Supervise a team of CRNAs, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Represent the Anesthesia department as a true partner within the organization, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Highlights:

  • Anesthesia Care Team model with 10 Anesthesiologists and 22 CRNAs covering 12 ORs, EP Lab, Cath Lab, and Endo.
  • Supervision of CRNAs 1:4, with CRNAs providing in-house coverage 24/7.
  • Diverse mix of highly complex cases, including Trauma, Cardiac, Ortho, Endo, Neuro, Spine, Vascular, and Bariatric procedures.
  • Average surgical volume of 9000 cases annually.
  • Block proficiency required, with a willingness to teach appreciated.
  • Physicians are scheduled Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, with call coverage provided by a dedicated team.
