At Autumnwood of McBain, we're seeking a skilled Cook to join our team of food professionals. As a Cook and Dietary Aide, you'll prepare delicious, nourishing meals to meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs of our guests. Your responsibilities will include following standardized recipes, preparing foods that correspond to the menu cycles developed by registered dietitians, and supervising culinary staff with regard to food storage, food preparation, tray assembly, and cleaning. In the absence of the chef and/or dietary manager, you'll supervise the culinary center's employees. If you have a passion for improving the lives of those around you and working with others who feel the same way, we encourage you to apply. Our attractive benefit package includes competitive pay, life insurance, 401K with matching funds, health insurance, AFLAC, employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, and SPOTLIGHT, our virtual community and rewards and recognitions program, exclusively for Ciena staff members. We serve our residents with compassion, concern, and excellence, believing that every one of them is a unique person who deserves our best each day that we care for them. If you're interested in fostering your passion for the culinary arts and working in a team that values communication and strong teamwork abilities, we invite you to consider this opportunity. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining food alternatives to accommodate guest choices and refusals of meals served, using food supplies and equipment in an efficient and economic manner to prevent waste, and preparing and presenting appetizing, well-presented, and nutritionally-adequate meals in quantities that are served at the proper temperatures and within the appropriate time frames. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience as a cook or dietary aide in an institutional food service setting. We're Michigan's largest provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care services, and we're committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. If you're passionate about improving the lives of others and working in a team that shares your values, we encourage you to apply.
