Fleet Maintenance Technician

Stericycle is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our specialty equipped assets, including mobile shredding and collection equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose issues with shredding components, including taking photos and sending them to the Regional Fleet Manager for analysis and determination
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on shredder systems, including lifts, augers, conveyor belts, and unloading devices
- Repair and maintain components on trucks, including hoses, pipes, shredder, pump, motor, hopper lifts, and lift gates
- Develop and implement creative solutions for installing new technology on older truck models
- Test and inspect equipment to ensure it performs to expectations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in hydraulic equipment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with speed, accuracy, and quality using safe practices
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
