Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at UofL Health. As a key member of our Sleep Center, you will be responsible for performing and operating sleep study equipment, including polysomnography, CPAP titration, and Home Sleep Testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Accrediting Body and Sleep physician expectations/protocols.
  • Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilize resources efficiently.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
  • Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Sleep Technology or Completed the A-Step Sleep Program.
  • Certified Polysomnographic Technologist (CPSGT) from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BPRT) prior to employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to start of employment.
