About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at MultiCare Health System. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative and interdisciplinary treatment team to provide a safe and supportive environment for psychiatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care and customer service
  • Assist with basic patient care and recovery needs
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and front office staff to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting patient autonomy, dignity, and health
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, and reporting unsafe conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field (preferred)
  • Eligibility for and application for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor within 30 days of placement in job, unless a higher credential is held
  • Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA certification prior to start date
  • BLS certification
  • Peer MHT: Self-identify as a consumer who has received mental health services and can demonstrate that they have been well grounded in their own mental health recovery for at least one year
