Overview

At Novant Health, we seek a skilled Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Specialist to join our team. This is a PRN position in our Outpatient Surgery Center at Ballantyne Winslow. In this role, you will work in a primary nursing area, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in other primary areas, including assisting with turnover and day-to-day ASC operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing, with a 2-year associate degree and current RN licensure in the appropriate state. One year of experience in an ASC, PACU, or operating room environment is preferred, as well as certification in ACLS and PALS. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interpret information and identify patient requirements for care relative to their age-specific needs.

The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience. Responsibilities

As an Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • A 2-year associate degree in nursing
  • Current RN licensure in the appropriate state
  • One year of experience in an ASC, PACU, or operating room environment (preferred)
  • Certification in ACLS and PALS (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret information and identify patient requirements for care relative to their age-specific needs
