Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing and assisting with facility maintenance activities as assigned, including but not limited to maintenance functions for buildings, equipment, and grounds. This includes ensuring equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely, understanding and complying with safety management, EPA and OSHA policies, procedures, and programs, and using data from Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to complete proper and timely preventative maintenance, repairs, and record keeping as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED">
  • College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred">
  • Warehouse experience preferred">
  • Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred">
  • Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources">
  • Ability to use basic hand tools">
  • BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, PLUMBING, ELECTRIC, AND HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS">
  • Accuracy and attention to detail">
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English">
  • Ability to read and understand label data">
  • Ability to read small print on packaging and paperwork, with or without corrective lenses">
  • Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)">
  • Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include nights, weekends and holidays">

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds. You must also be able to respond and perform physical demands of weather emergencies. Additionally, you must be able to tolerate and work in confined spaces, pass respirator fit tests, and wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when necessary.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $19.00 per hour for this role. The actual salary will vary depending on factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications.
