We are currently in search of a Food Service Supervisor, Community Corrections who is passionate about delivering top-notch care in a residential environment.

The Food Service Supervisor in Community Corrections is responsible for preparing approved menu meals for residents and staff, managing food orders, and providing leadership to team members. This position requires adherence to proper food handling protocols to ensure compliance with food preparation methods and hygiene standards.

  • Oversee food production to guarantee quality menu items, proper food handling, portion control, serving temperatures, and sanitation procedures.
  • Examine the menu cycle for meal preparation, ensuring food is prepared according to specifications and served at designated times.
  • Conduct inventory assessments for accurate food and supply ordering. Maintain vendor relationships and oversee kitchen deliveries, ensuring proper invoicing and storage practices.
  • Monitor, review, and document all meal temperatures on a daily basis.
  • Evaluate temperature logs for food, refrigeration, and freezer units. Report any potential unsanitary conditions to supervisory personnel and coordinate appropriate resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED certification, or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of relevant cooking or food preparation experience is required.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • An Associate's degree in Culinary Arts may be accepted in lieu of the required experience.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
