R&D Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineering Technician to join our team at Ereztech. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for performing a range of chemical reactions and processes, particularly involving air-sensitive materials.
Key Responsibilities- Chemical Reaction Management: Perform reactions, purifications, distillations, sublimation, and recrystallizations of air-sensitive chemistry.
- Equipment Operation: Charge solids, liquids, or gases to reactors and glassware, monitor chemical reactions using laboratory equipment.
- Sample Analysis: Pull chemistry samples and submit to the lab for analysis and perform in-process analytical testing (GC, mp, TLC, UV-Vis, KF, etc.).
- Documentation: Enter information into lab notebooks, MPRs, logs, checklists, etc.
- Root Cause Analysis: Participate in root cause analysis on disqualified projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to constant improvements initiatives.
- Container Preparation: Prepare and fill containers of various chemistry for customers.
- Preventive Maintenance: Complete Preventive Maintenance projects.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the chemical industry, ideally with air-sensitive experience.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (required) with a technical degree or certification in a related field (desired).
- Skills: Demonstrated experience in a chemical manufacturing industry; associates or bachelor's degree in a technical field would be beneficial. Prior air-sensitive experience using inert gases and techniques. Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs. Ability to gain respirator certification and wear proper PPE as required.
