AMN Healthcare Allied is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a top-ranked hospital in Allentown, PA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced RRT to provide respiratory care to critically ill neonates in our NICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to neonates in the NICU, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for neonates.
  • Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen concentrators.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience as a registered respiratory therapist in a NICU or PICU setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or a related field.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and respiratory care software.
