About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our State and Local Sales and Use Tax team at RSM US LLP. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional sales and use tax advisory and planning services to multi-state companies, driving business development, and serving as a career advisor and mentor to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert sales and use tax advisory and planning services to clients, including nexus studies, exposure quantification, and voluntary disclosures.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the State and Local tax practice, including generating new revenue and expanding client relationships.
  • Serve as a career advisor, mentor, or coach to team members, providing performance feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with clients, local and regional RSM teams, and the overall RSM tax team to deliver high-quality services and expand services to clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience providing sales and use tax consulting services in a public accounting, consulting, or law firm.
  • Thorough knowledge of state and local sales and use tax laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
